Te, które uzyskały Certyfikat OK! dla swoich produktów. Certyfikat przysługuje firmie, która:
- Nie sprzedaje zadnych substancji, które były testowane na zwierzętach w ciągu ostatnich 5 lat.
- Składniki wyrobów nie pochodzą z uboju zwierząt.
- Powyższe wymagania zyskały prawną gwarancja.
Na naszym wykazie znajdują się tylko te firmy, które spełniły wszystkie trzy powyższe warunki!
Napisy na opakowaniach
Bardzo czesto firmy kosmetyczne umieszczają na swoich produktach napisy „Nie testowane na zwierzętach” (Not tested on animals) lub zamieszczają jakiś rysunek króliczka. Czy można ufać takim napisom i znakom towarowym? W skrócie odpowiedź brzmi: NIE! Informacje zamieszczane na produktach mogą być prawdziwe w sensie logicznym, ale równocześnie wprowadzają nieuważnych klientów w bląd. Oto przykłady:
- Produkt nie był testowany na zwierzętach – napis nie określa czasu (więc rok temu produkt mógł być testowany na zwierzętach), napis nic nie mówi o substancjach podstawowych wchodzących w skład produktu (więc substancje mogły być testowane), napis nie przesądza czy prototyp produktu nie był testowany (ten oto konkretny dezodorant oczywiście nie był testowany, ale jego prototyp, inne dezodoranty tej serii, mogły być testowane na zwierzętach), napis nic też nie mówi o innych wyrobach firmy (firma moe testował na zwierzętach setki innych swoich wyrobów oprócz tego jednego).
- Nasza firma nie testuje swoich wyrobów na zwierzętach – napis nie przesądza czy substancje składowe nie były testowane na zwierzętach oraz nie ogranicza możliwości zlecania przetestowania swoich produktów przez inne firmy i instytuty państwowe. W dzisiejszych czasach przeważająca większość firm nie przeprowadza testów na zwierzętach, lecz zleca przetestowanie swoich produktów innym firmom lub kupuje gotowe (przetestowane na zwierzętach) substancje, z których produkuje swoje produkty.
- Rysuneczki króliczków – każda firma może zgodnie z prawem zaprojektować sobie własny rysunek króliczka i umieszczać go na swoim produkcie. Rysunek taki sam w sobie nic nie znaczy, przez prawo jest traktowany jako ozdobnik opakowania. Istnieją wprawdzie prawnie chronione znaki towarowe stworzone przez organizacje walczące o prawa zwierząt, lecz potencjalny przeciętny klient nie jest w stanie ich bezbłędnie rozpoznać w konfrontacji z innymi znakami graficznymi.
Jedynym pewnym źródłem informacji na temat produktów kosmetycznych są więc wykazy eko-produktów rozprowadzane przez organizacje ekologiczne cieszące się społecznym poważaniem.
